I was privileged to take the communion services in April in Nairn, and to see how the small group there have a great desire to see the Lord glorified in the salvation of sinners through a wider impact on the whole town. (My first visit to Nairn Free Church was for a missionary meeting in 1963 on our first furlough from Peru.). Mud and Maggie are a great couple, (indeed a great family, including Angie and Kirsty) and deserve every encouragement that can be given them in a tough situation. I was delighted to read Ian’s presentation, and pray that it will result in a large number of Smithton people committing themselves to pray and work for a powerful turn-around in the cause of Christ in the Nairn section of their very own church. The Inverness part of the congregation will never be the loser if it launches out in real missionary endeavour in Nairn, even if for an initial period it loses some people to this work. Forward in faith!
